ChennAI 2043 is a multi-generational speculative fiction saga set in Chennai, India — a world where AI is seamlessly woven into everyday life. Through one family across three generations, the story asks timeless questions about identity, tradition, and what it means to be human in an age of intelligent machines.
At the heart of the story is Vishal, a Compliance Officer wrestling with AI-driven progress. His father Vaidhee bridges the analog-to-AI era, while Vishal's son Dhasvanth — a 16-year-old AI Pragmatist — trusts algorithms over instinct in ways that deeply concern his father. From Vaidhee's quest for the perfect biryani to Dhasvanth's AI-optimized choices, each character reveals a different facet of a future that has arrived — but at what cost?
At its heart, the novel asks: in a society that has mastered machines, can we still master ourselves?
